Red Route

The red route is aimed at the experienced rider who enjoys a combination of exciting single track descents and a fair share of berms and switchbacks.

The route starts and ends at the parking area on Wolwefontein farm. Most of the ride is on single track with some portions of jeep track which traverses the farm on a circuit route either side of the Darling Yzerfontein road. This is somewhat easier than the red route and is aimed at the beginer/intermediate rider looking for less strenuous workout.

The first section approaches a culvert (mind your head!), followed by some hilly terrain that includes a river bed crossing. Thereafter the route takes you through the second culvert and up to the beginning of the first section of challenging single track. A steeper hill climb then awaits you and gives the legs a good workout before heading across the farm fields to the top of the Bluegum single track section. The newly installed berms offer you fast technical downhill to a ramp and then a leisurely ride to the finish.
